Travel with Winter in Asia

November 21, 2003

You may have started wondering how I can keep updating the blog at the same time traveling all over the place. In fact Internet Cafes in China are easier to find than looking for a bus station in Vancouver, although the connection speed varies geographically. The basic connection is ADSL, some places has fiber optic connection. It tends to be a lot faster when less people online (obviously...). The place I am currently in (I am in Qufu, by the way), does have blazingly fast connection in the middle of a remote town.. While it took me 2 minutes to open my hotmail inbox in Beijing...

I am heading to Shanghai tomorrow to meet up with Vivian and Winsor, they are flying over there for few days of vacation... Perhaps it is a good time to unload some gears that I found useless during the trip
